FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

This section of the website is designed to answer any potential questions you may have about Project: Venture

What is available in the Project: Venture test build?

As of the time of writing, Project: Venture currently contains:

  • Three gamemodes (Base game, HUDless mode, and Asset room)
  • The starting map with Six key locations (Town, Lake Mountain, Grassland, Woodland, Rocky steppe, and Ruins.
  • Controllable character which is used to traverse the map with
  • Inventory and Item system (various items can be found and collected across the map)
  • Score system for the items (Each item adds +10 points to the overall score)
  • Ability to take screenshots in-game
  • SFX for picking up items, entering a new location, and opening different menus (e.g.: pausing)
  • BGM music plays in the background while you play

What PC specs will I need to run the game?

  • PC requirements can be found on the download page. There is also a README document found in the game files that displays this information.
How can I donate?
  • By going to the support tab, you will find a link which will redirect you to Kickstarter where you can donate towards future development
Do I get any perks for donating?
  • You will gain direct access to new builds of Project: Venture when they become available. Depending on how much is donated, when the game officially releases, you will also have access to that for free as thanks for helping contribute toward development.
How long will this current testing period last?
  • The testing period will continue until the July 31 2021. Once we reach this date, the test build will still be available to download but it will no longer be updated. Future builds will only be available to those who donate.
Will Project: Venture be ported to different platforms?
  • As of writing, Project: Venture will only be available on Windows PC's. Depending on how development turns out, we could begin to port Project: Venture to platforms such as PlayStation and Xbox systems. As the game is currently running on the Unity engine, all options are on the table.
Will Project: Venture stay in Unity?
  • At present, Project: Venture will stay in the Unity engine. Depending on how development continues, if a better alternative provides access to elements that is not available in Unity, we may decide to port to the new system.
